A.J. Willner & Co., Inc. was founded by Abraham J. Willner in 1925. Robert Sklar joined the company in 1949 and was made a partner in 1966.
Michael Sklar joined A.J. Willner & Co., Inc. in 1973 and became a partner in 1985. Since 1989, Michael Sklar has served as President of the firm. Mr. Sklar has over 40 years experience with A.J. Willner & Co., Inc., which merged with Auctions, Inc. in 2001.
Mr. Sklar currently does work for major New Jersey and New York law firms. Additionally, A.J. Willner Auctions is the prominent Federal Bankruptcy firm in Northern and Central New Jersey, doing work for various Trustees, Receivers, Assignees, Debtors, Banks, Factors, Matrimonial Attorneys, and Private concerns.
Michael Sklar has testified in bankrupcy and non-bankruptcy matters as an expert witness in courts throughout New Jersey. He has knowledge and experience in all aspects of the liquidation, appraisal and auction business, and is on the list of Approved Bankruptcy Auctioneers in the District of New Jersey.
Harry Byrnes, Managing Partner
Harry Byrnes is veteran member of the A.J. Willner Auction staff and has recently joined Mike Sklar & Steve Newmark as a full partner. Harry's dedication as a field manager over the past two decades has helped make our firm the true auction leader.
Years ago, Harry led an initiative with in our firm to build a powerful internet based marketing platform. By creating a dynamic company website combined with issuing bulk e-mail blasts, A.J. Willner Auctions marketing campaigns gained a global reach. Bidders from around the world have the ability to take part in our auctions from the comfort of their computer.
