Aytek Rugs, A Bergen County, New Jersey–based rug specialist known for its focus on authentic, hand-crafted Oriental rugs.  Aytek Rugs has built its business around sourcing and offering hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs crafted from natural wool and silk, with an emphasis on traditional weaving techniques, regional authenticity, and one-of-a-kind designs. This auction reflects that specialization, featuring a broad cross-section of traditional, tribal, and transitional rugs suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors.

Auctioneer's Note:  Auction Pick Up will be by appointment over 2 weeks following the auction.  The rugs are stacked and it takes a little bit of time and a whole lot of labor to consolidate the lots on each bidder invoices, therefore our office will contact successful bidders in order to schedule auction pick up.

AUCTION FORMAT

Timed Online Auction w/ Staggered Close:
Auction lots will close in a staggered format beginning at the published closing time, approximately 30 to 60 seconds apart.

Bid Sniping Protection Enabled:
If a bid is placed during the final moments of bidding, the closing time for that individual lot will automatically extend approximately 30 to 60 seconds.

Auctioneer reserves the right to postpone, suspend, extend, combine, divide, withdraw, or cancel any lot or the auction due to technical issues or circumstances beyond its control.


BUYER'S PREMIUM

A 15% Buyer's Premium applies.


SALES TAX

No Sales Tax applies at this auction.


PAYMENT

Payment in full is due within twenty-four (24) hours.

Auctioneer reserves the right to resell unpaid purchases if payment is not received by 3:00 PM on the day following the auction.


FORMS OF PAYMENT

Cash, cashier's check, wire transfer, or credit card (maximum $3,000). Credit card payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee.


AS-IS, WHERE-IS

All property is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS and without warranty.

Catalog descriptions and photographs are provided solely as a convenience and are subject to errors and omissions.

Inspection is strongly encouraged.


PICK-UP & STORAGE

Removal shall begin only after payment has been received in full.

Purchasers are expected to remove their purchases promptly.

Items remaining after seven (7) calendar days shall be subject to storage charges.

Storage Charges

  • Lots occupying less than one pallet space: $25.00 per day

  • Standard pallet-sized lots: $50.00 per day

  • Oversized equipment, vehicles, trailers, or machinery: $100.00 per day, or more if special handling or outdoor storage is required

Storage charges must be paid in full before property will be released.

Property remaining more than fourteen (14) calendar days after auction shall be deemed abandoned. Purchaser irrevocably waives all ownership rights, and Auctioneer may resell, dispose of, or otherwise retain the property without refund, credit, accounting, or further notice.

Auctioneer shall not be responsible for theft, vandalism, weather damage, fire, flooding, or other loss occurring after the auction.


ALL SALES FINAL

No returns or adjustments.

Buyers paying by credit card agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes.


DISPUTES

Auctioneer's electronic bidding records and audio recordings shall be final.

If Auctioneer cannot release a lot, Buyer's sole remedy shall be a refund of monies actually paid for that lot.


LIABILITY

All persons entering the warehouse do so at their own risk.

Purchasers are responsible for damage caused during loading or removal and shall reimburse Auctioneer for repairs.


GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Registration and bidding constitute acceptance of these Terms of Sale.

Additional terms announced by Auctioneer shall become part of these Terms of Sale.
